Our school serves approximately 380 students in grades K - 4. We have 3 sections of each grade, averaging 26 students per class. We also have three special education resource rooms, Title I support in reading and math, and onsite mental health services. A MN Reading Corps tutor provides one on one support to students who need additional help with reading skills. The school is handicap accessible and we serve students with a variety of special needs. Kindergarten classes run all day, everyday.

Our administrative team includes Principal Clayton Lindner, Secretary Geraldene Kilpatrick, Nurse Traci Lessman, RN, and Elementary Student Support Specialist Kathy Fannin.
The mission of Southwest School is to ensure that all students acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to realize their potential and become productive and responsible citizens of a changing world.
